Massage Therapy

At Doula Purpose, massage therapy is considered an art form.

In today’s fast-paced world, it has become increasingly difficult to connect with our bodies. The energy we encounter throughout the day accumulates, leading to growing tension in our muscles. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable environment where we can fully attune to your body’s needs, identify areas of stagnant energy, and facilitate a deep sense of release and relief.

Relaxation Massage

60 minute -$70 ($50 december 2nd- 11th)
90 minute - $95

A Relaxation massage (Basic Massage) is designed to promote overall body function and relaxation by using gentle yet effective techniques. Starting with long, gliding strokes to warm the muscles and increase circulation, the massage progresses with kneading to release tension and improve muscle tone. Specific areas of tightness are addressed using rhythmic tapping, and deeper pressure when needed. Throughout the session, the therapist works to realign the body, smooth out knots, and reduce tension from head to toe. The result is a deeply relaxing experience that not only relieves stress but also enhances mobility and boosts overall well-being.

Therapeutic Massage

60 minute - $95
90 minute - $110

A Therapeutic massage (Deep Tissue) is specifically designed to target chronic tension and discomfort by working on the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. Unlike lighter techniques, this method involves slow, deliberate strokes and sustained pressure, often applied with the therapist’s fingers, thumbs, or elbows. These movements aim to break up adhesions, realign tissue fibers, and release deeply held tension. The pressure is applied either directly to problem areas or with friction movements that cross the muscle fibers, promoting greater range of motion and relief from persistent pain. This type of massage is ideal for individuals with chronic muscle tightness, postural issues, or recovery from injury.”

Prenatal Massage

60 minute - $75
90 minute - $85

A prenatal massage is specifically designed to support the unique physical and emotional needs of expectant mothers. Using gentle, soothing strokes, this massage helps to alleviate common discomforts such as back pain, swollen legs, and fatigue while promoting relaxation and well-being. The therapist uses special positioning techniques, like side-lying or supported reclined positions, to ensure comfort and safety throughout the session. By improving circulation and reducing muscle tension, a pregnancy massage can also help reduce stress, improve sleep, and provide a sense of relief during this special time. It’s a nurturing, calming experience that enhances both physical and emotional health for mother and baby.”
